I’ve Got My Own Miles.

With a little more living

And a few looks at the man

In the mirror, I gauge past actions;

Who am I really?

One minute I’m a fighter

Positioned in Voltron’s skull

Leading the charge,

Defending what I believe

To be fundamentally true.

Then when all goes downhill

Life’s unexpected turn

I embrace the vertigo,

Putting the “downward” in spiral

Disappearing from myself

And from the face of the map.

A result,

Of my own over-estimation

Or under-estimation,

Regardless, I don’t settle

Plenty of pitfalls to go around;

Anyone can make you fall

But

They sure as hell

Can’t keep you down.
